Maruti Suzuki India has got the most benefit of GST, especially the entry level sedan Model Dzire of the company. In September 2017 the new Dzire became the country’s number one selling car for the second consecutive year. Sales of new Dzire sales increased 81 percent on yearly basis. The company sold a total of 34,305 Dzire units in September. Dzire has left behind Maruti Alto with a big difference. Not only that, the car that has the fastest 1 lakh sales figure in the Dzire Indian Automobile Industry has also become a car.

Poor performance of old models
The performance of new cars launched in the market for some time has been quite good. Not only this, these cars have left cars already in the market in the case of sales growth. Sales of Maruti Suzuki and the country’s second highest selling car, Alto, stood at 23,830 units in September, which is 14.1 per cent lower on an annual basis.

Sales growth of new cars has been quite good. Sales of Maruti Balano in September was 16,238 units in September 2017, which is 52.9% higher than the same period last year. On the other hand, Maruti’s popular compact SUV Vitara Breeza’s sales growth was 41.5 percent and the company sold 13,268 units in September.
Hyundai’s cars sales increased
Three cars of Hyundai Motor India in the list of Top Selling Cars – Grand I10, Elite I20 and Creta. Sales of these three cars have been positive on an annual basis. Grand i10 sales grew 15.5 percent in September 2017 to 14,099 units, while Elite I20’s sales stood at 11,547 units, with 12.9 percent growth. Apart from this, Creta’s sales grew by 5 per cent year-on-year to 9,292 units.
